Requirements

In order to use the Plugin, please make sure you are using the following versions of Rhino or later:

  1. Rhino 7: 7.38.24338.17001

Windows

  1. Right click on the plugin package **.**zip file, click on properties and choose to unblock. That unblocks all the files inside the .zip file.

  2. Unzip the plugin package you received from Cityweft.

You’ll find a folder containing the plugin files (e.g., Cityweft.rhp, supporting scripts, and icons).

  3. Locate your Rhino Plugins folder:

    C:\\Users\\<YourUsername>\\AppData\\Roaming\\McNeel\\Rhinoceros\\7.0\\Plug-ins\\

  4. Copy the unzipped plugin folder into the Plug-ins directory.

    1. ATTENTION: ALL THE FILES FROM THE .ZIP SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE FOLDER, NOT JUST THE .RPH FILE
  5. Restart Rhino to load the plugin.

  6. When Rhino restarts, type Cityweft in the command bar to confirm it’s installed.

If prompted to enable the plugin, click Yes.

The folder in your plugin should contain all of these files

Please note: If the above method does not work, it is possible that you also need to manually import the plugin as well. To do so go to your plugin manager in Rhino, press the ‘install’ button, and select the .rhp file directly!

macOS

  1. Unzip the plugin package you received from Cityweft.

  2. Locate the Rhino Plug-ins folder:

    ~/Library/Application Support/McNeel/Rhinoceros/7.0/MacPlugIns/

(Adjust version number if using Rhino 7.)

  3. Drag and drop the unzipped plugin folder into this directory.

    1. ATTENTION: ALL THE FILES FROM THE .ZIP SHOULD BE ADDED TO THE FOLDER, NOT JUST THE .RPH FILE
  4. Restart Rhino.

  5. In the command bar, type Cityweft to confirm that the plugin is recognized.

If Rhino asks for permission to load the plugin, choose Enable.
